Woodcliff Hotel and Spa
Bell person: (part-time)
The primary duties of the Bell person are to help with the check-in/check-out processes, and to accommodate guests during their stay in a pleasant and efficient manner. This role serves as official greeter and escort of guests/visitors and is responsible to handle luggage and related in a courteous and efficient manner. Excellent communication skills in English and excellent guest relations’ skills are required. Must have a strong knowledge of the surrounding areas and the ability to establish a sense of security to the guests/visitors. Any positions involving valet parking or the transportation of guests or employees will include, but not be limited to, a verification of a good driving/motor vehicle record to company policy. Long hours sometimes required. Heavy work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Buffet Attendant : (part-time) (weekends)
The Buffet Attendant is responsible primarily for setting up, maintaining and breaking down the buffet area, assisting servers and other f&b staff as needed. Must have excellent guest relations and communication skills and be available to work a flexible schedule. Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Banquet Server:
The main function of this position is to serve food and beverages to guests at banquet functions. This role is responsible for the pre-setting the function rooms, serving the meal courses and/or maintaining any buffet stations, clearing all tables during and after each function, and storing equipment after the function in its proper place, setting up coffee breaks and bars as needed. Must be able to courteously handle all guest requests and be available to work a flexible schedule. Applicant must have the ability to remain standing for extensive periods of time. Long hours sometimes required. Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Executive Sous Chef:
Support and assist the Executive Chef. Oversee the day-to-day culinary operations of the hotel’s “fine dining” room and banquet facilities. Train and supervise staff and monitor food quality. As the Executive Sous Chef, you will work with the Executive Chef and be one of the lead culinary people responsible for overseeing all of the culinary operations. Candidate must have demonstrated record of success in product & inventory control, labor and food costs with an emphasis on quality & guest satisfaction. This person will work closely with all members of the executive staff to ensure the best culinary experience for all guests. Banquet and Ala Carte Dining service experience is a must.
Guest Services Representative: (part-time)
The Guest Service Agent is directly responsible for the prompt, efficient, and courteous check in and check out of guests, assisting with room reservations and handling of telephone calls, and for meeting many other guest needs during their stay. Also responsible for the collection of monies for services rendered during a guest stay and the smooth operation of the front office. Long hours, many spent standing, sometimes required. Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Line Cook: (full-time)
The primary function of the Line Cook is to prepare high quality food to order for guests based on established menu guidelines and sanitary standards. Must be able to prepare Ala carte, broil, sauté and fry. Set up and break down of the line is function of the job. Must be able to work in a high volume environment, create menu items and service both internal and external customers. Should be able to present hot & cold entrees, have good communication skills and be able to handle pressure while multitasking. Long hours on your feet required. Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Prep Cook: (full-time)
The prep cook follows instructions and guidelines outlined by the Executive Chef or Lead Cook for the shift, assisting with production and prep work as needed. Duties include monitoring production and quality levels of all food products; incoming food product to insure quality; refrigeration and dry storage for proper handling and rotation; and checking daily production sheets and checks with Chef and Lead Cook as to daily work needs. Long hours spent standing required. Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Room Attendant: (full-time)
The primary responsibility of the Room Attendant is to maintain clean and attractive guest rooms, including replacing all linen and towels in the room, vacuuming and dusting, replacing guest supplies, and thorough bathroom cleaning. Must be very responsive to guest requests and be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, with a second language is a plus. Must be able to work a flexible shift. Long hours of standing required. Medium work, exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 75 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Steward/ Dishwasher: (part-time)
Washes and stores properly all dishes, trays, eating utensils, cups, and small equipment for the department. Maintains the dish room and dish machine in a sanitary and efficient manner. Long hours sometimes required. Very Heavy work, exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Spa Front Desk Supervisor:
The Spa Front Desk Supervisor is responsible to oversee the daily operations of the Reception Department. Provides information and welcomes guests to the hotel's Spa; coordinates all guest requests and reservations for special Spa arrangements or services, courteously and efficiently and informs guests of spa services and features. Excellent guest relations’ skills. Excellent verbal & written communication skills with guests and co-workers. Excellent telephone etiquette. Computer literate with a typing speed of at least 20 w.p.m. Detail-oriented, team player. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well under pressure. Long hours sometimes required. Sedentary work, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Spa Manager:
The Spa Manager is responsible for all operational areas of the Spa. Oversee daily operations of the facility with emphasis on exceptional guest service, cleanliness, safety, fiscal responsibility, staff guidance and support to make the Spa experience second to none. Promoting the facility and its services to hotel guests and the local community through innovative and cost effective means. Develops standard operating procedures and a staffing structure to ensure that all standards and guest expectations are not only met, but exceeded.. Excellent verbal & written communication skills with guests and co-workers. Excellent telephone etiquette. Computer literate with a typing speed of at least 20 w.p.m. Detail-oriented, team player. Room Service Server: (nights)
As Room Service Server you will prepare, deliver and service orders. Must have complete knowledge of service time, menu, and specials. Responsible for each guest check and co-ordination of tables/trays pick-ups. Responsible for set-up, delivery and presentation of VIP and other guest amenity. Complete all side duties as assigned. Organize Room Service area. Previous food and beverage experience preferred. Must be able to work flexible shifts. Long hours, many spent standing, sometimes required. Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Host/Hostess:
Schedules day and shift assignments for all dining room personnel. Assigns service stations to all servers and bus persons. Informs service personnel of daily menu changes and specials and matters affecting dining room operations. Supervises the dining room during meal service adjusting patron seating flow to balance customers among the stations. Graciously greets guests, escorts them to their table, provides menus, and informs guests of name of their assigned server. Assists with the duties of servers and bus persons needed to maintain service effectiveness and efficiency. Oversees training of all new service employees. Ensures that guest checks are handled accurately, efficiently and in compliance with company policies and procedures. Must be available to work a flexible schedule and have excellent communication and guest relations’ skills. Ability to remain standing for extensive periods of time.
Busperson: (full-time & part-time)
Communicates with and assists food servers to maintain service efficiency and ensures guest satisfaction. Maintains cleanliness of and restocks the front-of-the-house area. Serves water, bread, and butter to guests and provides refills as needed. Removes dirty dishes and utensils from tables between courses and clears tables after guests leave. Replaces dishes and utensils. Long hours sometimes required. Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
